Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Corporate Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of multiple business units, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of consolidated financial statements, implementing and maintaining robust internal controls, managing budgeting and forecasting processes, supporting Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) activities, and driving process improvements across the organization. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a strong background in corporate finance, excellent leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

Financial Management & Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation and review of consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

  • Develop and maintain financial reporting systems to provide timely financial insights to management and stakeholders.

Internal Controls:

  • Design, implement, and monitor effective internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with business unit leaders to develop comprehensive budgets that align with strategic goals.

  • Manage ongoing forecasting activities, providing updated financial projections and identifying key variances from budgets.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) Support:

  • Collaborate with executive management to evaluate potential M& A opportunities.

  • Conduct financial due diligence, assess the financial impact of potential acquisitions, and integrate acquired businesses into the company's financial systems and processes.

Process Improvements:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial operations.

  • Drive automation and standardization of financial processes across multiple business units.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives and initiatives.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in corporate finance or accounting, with at least 3-5 years in a controller or senior financial management role.

  • Experience in managing financial operations for multiple business units or a complex corporate structure.

  • Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting requirements.

  • Proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.

  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Experience with M& A activities, including financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
