Robert Half Medical Payment Poster Specialist in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Payment Poster Specialist in FORT WAYNE, Indiana, 46804-4133, United States. This role involves handling medical coding and payment posting for a medical practice, maintaining accurate medical billing records, and documenting revenue from patient payments and insurance reimbursements.

Responsibilities:

• Electronically and manually post payments to ensure proper billing processes

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical billing records to aid in financial tracking

• Document revenue from patient payments and insurance reimbursements to provide a clear record of income

• Handle medical coding tasks to properly categorize patient treatments and procedures

• Engage in payment posting for a medical practice, ensuring timely and accurate financial transactions

• Administer data processing tasks, ensuring that all medical and billing data is correctly entered and stored

• Oversee billing functions to guarantee the correct issuance of invoices and bills

• Administer claim administration tasks, assisting with the processing and tracking of insurance claims

• Implement collection processes where necessary, working to recover delinquent payments

• Act as a collector when needed, pursuing unpaid accounts while maintaining detail oriented communication and interaction. Requirements • Possess at least one year of experience in a similar role such as Medical Payment Poster Specialist.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Data Processing.

• Prior experience with Billing Functions.

• Familiarity with Claim Administration is a must.

• Experience in Collection Processes.

• Ability to work as a Collector when necessary.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficiency in using medical software and computer systems.

• High School diploma or equivalent required; higher education in a relevant field is a plus.

• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
