Robert Half GRC Analyst in Fort Worth, Illinois

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Data Security Analyst, based in Chicago, Illinois. The role will be situated within the telecom provider industry, with a focus on Governance Risk Compliance (GRC). The successful candidate will work on creating and implementing data security strategies, ensuring the safety and privacy of our client's information.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement data security strategies, procedures, and standards

• Conduct assessments for clients to evaluate their compliance with various privacy frameworks such as ISO, NIST, HIPAA, etc.

• Collaborate with cyber teams to set up back-end processes and suggest improvements where necessary

• Maintain a proactive approach to identify potential risks and develop risk registers

• Function as a point of contact for clients, discussing GRC programs and developing related projects

• Work effectively within a team setting, contributing to a positive and supportive work environment

• Gain proficiency in using Hyperproof and ZenGRC, with opportunities for on-the-job training

• Leverage an IT Audit background to enhance the quality of data security services provided.

Requirements

• Must possess a bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

• Proven experience in a Data Security Analyst role or similar position.

• Strong knowledge and experience with GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) is essential.

• Demonstrable experience with eGRC (Enterprise Governance Risk Compliance) required.

• Certification in Information Security (e.g., Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)) is preferred.

• Proficiency in developing, implementing, and maintaining data security policies and procedures.

• Demonstrated ability to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and propose countermeasures.

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity trends and hacker methodologies.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

• Exceptional communication skills for liaising and communicating with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments.

• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status.
