Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Fort Worth, Texas

Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager to join our client's team in the manufacturing industry, based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day accounting activities and maintaining the integrity of financial records. You will be actively involved in managing company expenditures, receipts, and tax remittances, and will also participate in weekly management meetings and collaborate with various functional areas of the business. Responsibilities:

• Oversee the processing of daily cash transactions for operating and payroll bank accounts. • Prepare and record monthly journal entries such as prepaid insurance amortization, capital lease interest expense, depreciation, and amortization. • Uphold accounting policies and procedures and create new ones as required. • Develop a solid understanding of the ERP system and its reporting capabilities. • Actively participate in management meetings to communicate the status of cash, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. • Supervise Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable clerks to ensure consistent adherence to policies and procedures. • Resolve vendor and customer invoice queries and other accounting discrepancies. • Monitor credit limits with vendors and coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely release of raw materials and packaging purchase orders. • Assist in preparing the monthly management reporting package. • Manage the preparation of weekly check runs and daily customer invoicing. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry • Proficiency in Accounting Functions • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Knowledge of Month End Close and Month-end Journal Entries • Familiarity with Monthly Account Reconciliation • Experience in Financial Statement Preparation • Proficiency in Management Reporting • Ability to work in a team and lead when necessary • Excellent communication and leadership skills • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • detail oriented certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
