Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Fort Worth, Texas

Description

We are seeking interested candidates for the position of Accounting Manager with our aviation service and distribution firm stationed in Fort Worth, Texas. The primary role involves ensuring the smooth running of accounting operations, improving the accounts payable operations, elevating the department's efficiency, and preserving robust internal controls. Responsibilities:

• Manage comprehensive accounting operations including supervision of accounts payable and receivable, along with the general ledger

• Discover areas for automation and devise and execute accounts payable procedures to enhance precision and effectiveness

• Back month-end and year-end closing procedures to guarantee punctual and correct financial reporting

• Offer guidance and training to junior staff, promoting their career growth and fortifying the finance team

• Perform assessments of the Finance and Accounting department’s layout to promote strategic growth decisions

• Guarantee cross-training and backup strategies for essential financial operations and exhibit leadership during staffing shortfalls

• Preserve and augment internal controls following GAAP and company policies

• Offer assistance in preparing audit schedules and documentation required for internal and external audits.

Requirements

• Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager/Supervisor role

• Proficiency in process improvement and financial reporting

• Demonstrated knowledge of internal control and general accounting

• Experience with general ledger management is required

• Must be skilled in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with month-end close and year-end closings

• Must have a comprehensive understanding of US GAAP

• Experience in audit schedules and accounting management is necessary

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various departments

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Must possess excellent leadership and team management abilities

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Proficiency in using accounting software and other related tools

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification is preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
