Description
We are looking for a Director of Accounting based in Fort Worth, Texas, to join our client's team in the Distribution industry. The role involves overseeing global financial operations, supervising different departments within the Finance sector, and supporting the company's increasing marketplace, customer, and manufacturer demands. Responsibilities:
• Direct the preparation and analysis of statistical and accounting information
• Ensure accuracy and compliance of all financial reports with accounting principles and regulatory requirements
• Handle research on technical accounting issues and coordinate with finance teams to ensure uniformity of accounting practices
• Establish and implement financial policies, control standards, and control systems
• Oversee accounting for company targets and acquisitions
• Lead internal audits
• Oversee the operational effectiveness of personnel and performance within Finance
• Direct global financial statement closure on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
• Oversee and review internal financial reports.
Requirements
• Must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant fields such as Accounting or Finance
• Must possess a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• Proficient knowledge of US GAAP is required
• Demonstrated experience with Technical Accounting is essential
• Familiarity with Procure-to-pay and Order-to-cash processes is mandatory
• Prior experience in Big 4 or second tier National Accounting Firms required
• Expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) is preferred; acquisition integration preferred
• Must have experience in Consolidations and Inventory Accounting
• Must be able to prepare Annual Audited Financial Statements and Consolidated Financial Statements
• Should have a strong understanding of Internal Controls
• Experience with a large global company is preferred
• Knowledge of the Wholesale Distribution a large plus
