Description
There is an excellent opportunity at Robert Half for a Part-Time Full-Charge Bookkeeper. To be successful in this role and take advantage of the growth potential, you should multitask effectively, manage your time well, and have strong communication and organizational skills. In this position, you will prepare financial statements; establish and maintain the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the organization; and handle all other general accounting and bookkeeping functions. As an onsite position in Fort Worth, Texas, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity that is about 20 hours per week.
What you get to do every single day
Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close
Following federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, implementing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement
Preserving historical records through accurate filing of documents
Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules
Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll
Requirements
Accounts Payable (AP) experience
Bookkeeping experience
Adeptness in Bill Payment
Solid understanding of full charge bookkeeping
Demonstrated knowledge of Invoice Payment
Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
Full charge bookkeeping experience
Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments
3 or more years of experience in the bookkeeping field
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
- Proficiency with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree
Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
High school diploma or comparable diploma with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
A deep understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
