Description Robert Half has an exceptional opportunity for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a recognized company. Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. Excellent communication, written and verbal are a must, as well as building relationships with vendors and other departments. Based out of the Fort Worth, Texas area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / contract to hire opening.
How you will make an impact
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Help with internal and external audits as required
Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Provide support to internal business partners
Carry out additional projects as required
Accomplish full-cycle A/P Requirements - Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Adeptness in Manage Vendor Relationships
Maintain Vendor Files experience
Demonstrated knowledge of numeric data entry
Indexing experience desired
Enter Vendor Invoices experience preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience required
Batching experience
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
