As a Senior Fund Accountant reporting to the Fund Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting for multiple private equity and hedge funds, as well as various investment management entities. The role demands a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, encompassing journal entry processing, trade/investment transaction management, cash flow oversight, account reconciliations, and the preparation of comprehensive financial statements along with supporting schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting functions and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of private equity and hedge funds, as well as investment management companies.
Execute journal entries, oversee trade and investment transaction processing, monitor cash management activities, conduct thorough account reconciliations, and compile period-end financial statements along with supporting schedules.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, financial regulations, and internal policies in all accounting and reporting processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for reporting purposes.
Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness within the accounting and financial reporting function.
Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.
3+ years of progressive experience in fund accounting, specifically within private equity, hedge funds, or investment management.
Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools
Advanced Excel and Investran experience is highly preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards for investment entities.
Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or relevant certification preferred.

3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Command of month end closings
Proven knowledge of financial statement preparation
Cash management experience preferred
Fund accounting experience
University Degree experience
Month-end Close Activities experience
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
