Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have partnered with a global leading manufacturing company for a Senior Accountant position that will be groomed to be the future Controller! Based on this company’s reputation, innovation and quality they continue to be the leader in their respective area of specialization and continue to grow and take on new business and clients!
As Senior Accountant, you will work closely with the Controller and Operations Team and be involved with as facets of the business. This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, as the selected candidate will be groomed to assume the pivotal role of Controller in the future. As Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in financial operations, analysis, and reporting, contributing to the continued success and strategic growth of our organization.
Interested candidates must have a bachelor degree in accounting, finance or business with 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close, analyzing and preparing financial statements, variance analysis, cost accounting and inventory. Exposure to cost accounting is required and can be in a variety of industries such as manufacturing, engineering or construction.

Requirements
Earlier experience in public accounting is highly valued
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Wide ranging experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Month-end Journal Entries experience
Proficiency in Month-end Close Activities
General familiarity with Inventory Variance
Practical knowledge of variance analysis
Earlier work involving Accounts Payable (AP)
Quality experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Well-founded grasp of cost accounting
Proven knowledge of Annual Inventory
University Degree experience
Experience with Monthly Account Reconciliation
Month end closings experience preferred
Experience with ERP systems
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Exceptional time management skills preferred
