Robert Half Finance and Accounting and Kevin Sweet have collaborated with a dynamic and forward thinking commercial and mixed-use real estate development and management company for a Senior Property Accountant. As Senior Property Accountant you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all accounting and finance activities for a portfolio of commercial and mixed-use real estate properties. You will work closely with operations, property management and executive leadership team and contribute to the strategic direction of the company while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage day-to-day accounting functions for a portfolio of properties.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Perform variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
Generate monthly Rent Roll, review for accuracy.
Prepare monthly tenant percentage rent calculation and billings.
Prepare complex annual NNN reconciliations and related billings for Office and Retail tenants.
Review new retail and office leases and lease amendments and create and adjust tenant billings based on a thorough understanding of lease terms.
Respond to tenant questions regarding monthly charges, outstanding amounts due, annual CAM reconciliations.
Collaborate with operations team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
Provide support to executive leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.
Interested candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 3 plus years of commercial or mixed-use real estate accounting experience, CPA is preferred but not required, strong understanding of GAAP and proficient in Excel and other Real Estate software such as Yardi, MRI or Timberline.

Requirements
Interested candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, 3 plus years of commercial or mixed-use real estate accounting experience, CPA is preferred but not required, strong understanding of GAAP and proficient in Excel and other Real Estate software such as Yardi, MRI or Timberline.

Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required
Previous experience in accounting, real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred
Multi-Entity or Multi-Location Accounting preferred
Knowledge of industry specific accounting software
Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
