Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Fort Worth, Texas

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves detailed examination of our company's expenses, account reconciliation, and handling global accounting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the front end of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), among other duties. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Detailed analysis of the company's expenses

• Conduct account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliations, and General Ledger (GL) reconciliations

• Monitor AP invoice inbox

• Ensure a 2-way match before it goes to approval and research any discrepancies

• Handle global accounting

• Manage volume of invoices, ensuring they are paid in a timely manner

• Handle the front end of AP, including handling accruals and checking for any missed expense in month-end

• Maintain existing accounts and monitor the balance sheet

• Perform inventory reconciliations, understanding the complexity of our organization

• Handle foreign currencies in Accounts Receivable

• Prepare Non-Inventory Purchase requisitions and initiate payment of invoices

• Categorize expenses and initiate miscellaneous payments to dealers

• Execute month-end close journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

• Conduct Financial Analysis and manage Accounts Receivable

• Release and cash application, past due collection, aging reporting

• Liaise with Customer Services and Corporate Accounting teams

• Drive and execute continuous process improvement

• Employ the use of 'Account Reconciliation', 'Balance Sheet Reconciliation', 'Bank Reconciliations', 'General Ledger', 'Journal Entries', 'Microsoft Excel', 'Month End Close', 'NetSuite', 'Oracle', 'SAP' skills. Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Solid experience in maintaining and managing General Ledger

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries with accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Experience in performing Month End Close activities in a timely and efficient manner

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP financial software platforms

• Must possess professional communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification is preferred.
