Our Full-time Engagements Professionals Practice (also referred to as F-TEP) is our premier "loan staff" division where we hire and retain Accounting and Finance professionals to our firm then loan them to our client for their mission critical projects.
We are expanding our practice and looking to hire Staff Accountants right away!
We are searching for individuals that have experience in:
Full-cycle month-end close
Preparing trial balances
Maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts
Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
Preparing financial statements
Fixed assets and/or depreciation schedules
Tax return prep (sales, state, property, excise, payroll, corporate or partnership)
Audit support
Variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting
This opportunity with Robert Half's Full-Time Engagement Professionals Practice is a full-time, permanent position as a Project Accountant. As an employee of our practice, you will help scope, plan and execute a variety of Accounting & Finance projects/engagements. Your engagements will range from interim staff roles, such as Reconciliation, Month End, Audit prep/remediation etc. to implementing process improvement and over all attacking business challenges of our clients.
Additional compensation will be available for assistance in developing successful new business for Robert Half's Full-Time Contract team. Our individuals need to be successful not only in a technical accounting/analysis, but also in client relationships and project management!
We are searching for individuals with experience in:
A thorough knowledge of general accounting procedures, reporting and expense analysis and journal posting is required
The ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization since they can be highly visible and interact daily with executive management, project team leaders, sales managers, and financial professionals.
Ad-hoc reporting and variance analysis
Requirements
Additional qualifications that we are looking for include:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or other related coursework, preferred not required
A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in staff-level positions/roles
Experience working in at least 1-2 accounting & finance ERP systems, preferred not required
Intermediate - Advanced Microsoft Excel, ability to execute lookups and pivots at a minimum
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
Excellent technology and computer skills
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Skilled with ERP systems
Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills
Mature organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Account reconciliation experience
General familiarity with month end closings
Demonstrated knowledge of intercompany accounts
Practical knowledge of Consolidated Financial Statements
Adeptness in Bank Account Reconciliation
Microsoft Excel experience
Expertise in general ledger
Background working with accruals
Prepare Trial Balance experience highly preferred
Earlier work involving Microsoft Great Plains Dynamics
Microsoft Excel experience
Journal Entry experience
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
