Description
Robert Half has partnered with a global wholesale distribution company, specifically dealing with durable goods, situated in Fort Worth, Texas to recruit a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a very rare opportunity to join this very successful company as they rarely have opening due to their excellent work life balance and opportunities to grow and learn. We are seeking an organized Staff Accountant to join their team. In this role, you will be providing support by analyzing, reconciling, and reporting on financial information. Responsibilities:
• Perform general ledger account analysis and reconciliation utilizing various software such as Oracle Fusion and Microsoft Excel
• Prepare and record journal entries for various locations
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial schedules, consolidated financial statements, and supplemental schedules
• Review trial balances for various locations on a monthly basis to verify the accuracy of all figures and resolve discrepancies
• Analyze and reconcile bank accounts to the general ledger for all locations
• Provide assistance in all areas requested by the General Ledger Manager, including but not limited to, special projects, cross-training with team members, and researching emerging issues
• Support internal customers in a manner which ensures total quality and effective customer service
• Work in a fast-paced, high transaction environment with strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
• Exhibit strong problem-solving, organizational and account analysis skills
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills and interact effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization
• Exhibit a strong customer service focus with a strong sense of urgency in responding to customer needs
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet required deadlines.
Requirements
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant in a Fortune 1000 company or 1+ years experience with a large public accounting firm.
• Proficient in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger management, and Journal Entries
• Experience in handling Month End Close activities
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion software
• Skilled in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
• Experience in preparing Consolidated Financial Statements
• Ability to prepare Trial Balance
• Knowledge of Inventory Accounting is essential
• CPA Eligible candidates required even if not actively pursuing certification
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organization skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
