Description

Robert Half has partnered with a 35+ year established construction/contractor client in search for a Project Accountant located in Fort Worth, Texas. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for general ledger, AIA billing, bank recs, reporting, managing customer accounts, working with project managers/sub-contractors etc.... This position offers an exciting opportunity for those who have a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical ability.

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks based on project requirements.

• Process and accurately maintain customer credit applications and records.

• Perform general ledger functions and prepare journal entries.

• Handle AIA billing and bank reconciliations.

• Adhere to and enforce financial policies and procedures.

• Maintain constant communication with different departments to report financial information.

• Utilize accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel, for various tasks.

• Conduct account reconciliation and ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting standards.

• Generate financial reports and maintain internal controls.

• Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by working collaboratively with colleagues.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Accountant in the construction/contractor industry preferred

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries is required.

• Demonstrated experience with AIA Billing is necessary.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Must possess strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is desirable.

• Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.

• Ability to work collaboratively with others and function well as part of a team.

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive financial information.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
