Robert Half Plant Controller in Fostoria, Ohio
Description
We are recruiting for the role of a Multi-Plant Controller based in Fostoria, Ohio. This role is instrumental in supporting our director of global operations finance and working closely with our operations leaders on local projects. The ideal candidate will be adept at driving financial performance, maintaining internal controls, and acting as a proactive business partner to the plant managers.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure completion of group IFRS financial reporting according to group standards and requirements.
• Implement finance policies, programs, and systems to control financial transactions, including accounting, financial analysis, and financial reporting of business results.
• Oversee the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations, principles, and standards.
• Lead the external audit process and promptly address any control points identified by the external auditors.
• Manage relationships with internal auditors, external auditors, tax consultants, and local governmental offices.
• Responsible for working capital control and cash management.
• Manage the preparation of the annual budgets in collaboration with site management teams.
• Deliver timely financial analysis reports to track business performance and provide valuable insight to address deviations from budget or forecast.
• Provide financial support, consultation, and guidance to department heads.
• Work closely with the Operational Management Teams to support decision making and Continuous Improvement activities with full finance responsibility for all site business decisions and projects.
• Proactively work with other sites to develop and implement best practices and consistency of approach.
Requirements • Possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role such as Plant Controller or related financial management position.
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems for accurate and efficient financial data management.
• Familiarity with handling Accounting Functions including accounts payable, receivables, payroll, and general ledger.
• Ability to prepare the Annual Budget, including forecasting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge and experience in Auditing for ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations.
• Understanding of Budget Processes to ensure the smooth operation of financial activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data processing and financial modeling.
• Experience in performing Month End Close activities for accurate financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of Internal Control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.
