This is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity in the Fountain Valley, California area, at a company where effort is rewarded. This role's duties will require you to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. This could be the ideal position for you, if you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
What you get to do every single day
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Partake in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner Requirements - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Accounting Principles experience required
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Entries
Proficiency in Accounting Systems
Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Proficient in ERP systems
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
