A company Robert Half Finance and Accounting is working with, has a pressing need for a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in the Frankfort, Indiana area. This position will primarily be supporting a related entity in Mexico and travel to that location (through San Antonio) 3-4 days per month is expected. In this highly visible role, you will not only be responsible for providing timely and accurate financial reporting, but will also have an opportunity to make improvements in processes, infrastructure and operations of the company. The Senior Financial Analyst will be in charge of driving world class strategic and financial planning methods, developing rolling forecast processes to ensure resources are leveraged with maximum effectiveness, and building long-range operating plans to support business initiatives. You will give explanations for business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments, as well as, provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses. You will provide strategic analyses and recommendations while being directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (quarterly forecasts, monthly outlooks, and annual planning). What you get to do every single day

  • Log monthly and quarterly performance through comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources

  • Review performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities

  • Collaborate with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process

  • Discern and describe internal and external drivers impacting performance and trending

  • Permit effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support

  • Work closely together with cross functional partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans

  • Explain monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required

  • Direct weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P&L forecasting

  • Join forces with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation and prioritization

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability with financial reporting tools

  • 5+ years experience with advanced financial analysis, planning and budget controls required

  • Solid understanding of Spanish Language

  • Adeptness in month end closings

  • Foundational knowledge in Microsoft Excel

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Experience with financial reporting

  • General familiarity with Standard Costing

  • Demonstrated knowledge of capital assets

  • Command of general ledger

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, MBA preferred

  • Capacity to simplify complex problems and build solutions
