Robert Half Supply Chain Specialist in Frankfort, Indiana

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Specialist in the Manufacturing industry, located in Frankfort, Indiana. The role involves managing supplier relationships, resolving supply chain issues, and facilitating supplier audits. This role is crucial in maintaining the smooth functioning of our operations and ensuring that our production processes run efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Foster and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate response to supply chain issues

• Conduct supplier visits to assess concerns and evaluate the effectiveness of solutions implemented

• Collaborate with other departments to address supplier concerns that may affect production

• Maintain and follow up on supplier problem reports both internally and externally

• Facilitate supplier audits in collaboration with cross-functional teams

• Identify potential areas of concern based on audit results and work proactively with suppliers to devise solutions

• Lead meetings with suppliers and internal team members to discuss supply chain issues

• Work closely with suppliers on continuous improvement activities, such as Kaizen and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE)

• Assist suppliers in developing processes that align with our future plans using a proactive and collaborative approach

• Collaborate with the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) team to identify problem areas and devise solutions.

Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a purchasing role within the manufacturing industry

• Proficient in SRM - Supplier Relationship Management

• Strong negotiation and communication skills

• Ability to analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability

• Demonstrated experience in managing supplier relationships

• Proven track record in developing and implementing purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing management software

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Knowledge of industry-related legal guidelines and ISO requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
