Robert Half Staff Accountant in Franklin, Kentucky

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Bowling Green, KY United States. As part of our team, your role will focus on preparing financial statements, processing journal entries, managing fixed assets, and handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). You will also be required to manage tax information and work with SAP software.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with industry standards

• Process and record journal entries to ensure all business transactions are accounted for

• Manage fixed assets, including recording acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system

• Handle Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner

• Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), ensuring all payments are received and properly recorded

• Assist in the preparation and submission of tax documents and information

• Utilize SAP software for various accounting operations

• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate

• Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely financial reporting

• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of a Staff Accountant or similar financial positions

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory

• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, and Month End Close

• Proficiency in using SAP software for accounting and financial tasks

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Must be able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) would be considered an advantage
