Robert Half Bilingual Sr. HR Generalist in Franklin Park, Illinois

Description

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Spanish bilingual SR. HR Generalist in the Manufacturing sector, located in Rosemont, Illinois. This role will primarily support the manufacturing plant employee population and administer various Human Resources programs and policies. The role is within a multi-shift plant 24/7 hour operation. This is a 100% on-site position.

PLEASE READ, REGARDING WORK HOURS BEFORE APPLYING:

(Mon/Wed from 7am-4pm, Th/Fri 6am-3pm and Tues 11am-8pm)

Responsibilities:

• Administer and assist with various Human Resources programs and policies.

• Provide bilingual support in Spanish/English, including translation and employee relations counseling.

• Conduct orientation for new employees.

• Setup payroll and benefits for new hires.

• Assist with the support and administration of Workers' Compensation.

• Collaborate closely with staffing agencies for recruitment and talent development, specifically for temporary manufacturing workers.

• Provide backup for payroll administration and maintain HRIS and other employment-related records.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and provide relevant updates to supervisors and managers.

• Assist in planning company events such as Employee Appreciation Day, holiday lunches, summer family picnics, etc.

• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an HR Generalist within the manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Spanish Language required

• Proficiency in using ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode

• Strong understanding and ability to perform Benefit Functions

• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal

• Knowledge and experience in Compliance and HR Compliance

• Proven track record in maintaining positive Employee Relations

• Familiarity with FMLA regulations

• Understanding of Manufactured Products and Manufacturing Plants

• Experience in managing Manufacturing Personnel

• Ability to oversee Manufacturing Operations

• Proficiency in Spanish Language would be a plus

• Proven experience in conducting New Employee Orientation

• Skills in Benefits Administration

• Experience in handling Workers Compensation cases

• Familiarity with Recruitment - Agency is a plus

• Proficiency in using HRIS System
