Robert Half Staff Accountant in Franklin, Tennessee
Description
We are offering an opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team located in Franklin, Tennessee. This role involves managing a variety of accounting tasks, including processing loans for dealers, managing general ledger and accounts payable/receivable operations, and preparing monthly financial statements.
Responsibilities:
• Processing loans for dealers on a daily basis
• Managing the daily, weekly, and monthly general ledger operations
• Handling full charge accounting responsibilities
• Preparing monthly financial statements for three separate entities
• Assisting the Treasurer for trading of commercial paper as required
• Working with auditors to ensure compliance
• Facilitating audits and tax reporting
• Managing accounts payable and billings and accounts receivable
• Using advanced PC knowledge and database query and administration skills to complete detailed transactions accurately and timely
• Maintaining organization and documentation
• Providing utmost quality of service to dealers
• Handling multiple tasks simultaneously to keep many areas functioning
• Using decision making abilities and problem-solving skills to function independently in a small team environment.

Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is required
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries is necessary
• Must have experience with Month End Close processes
• Knowledge and experience in using accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus
