Robert Half Finance Manager in Frederick, Maryland

Description

Unique opportunity for a senior financial analyst or finance manager to help lead a $500M+ operation in the Frederick area. This position will partner with business leaders, helping them see both the big picture through trend analysis and performance tracking. You will also be responsible for detailed analysis as well as long term planning. This is an operational finance leadership position that is very rare in this area. Responsibilities:

• Facilitating value-added financial analysis to aid business initiatives and guide operational decisions

• Managing all facets of monthly forecasting, annual planning, and long-term planning for profit center operations

• Conducting reviews and analysis of monthly financial statements, community performance, sales, production, and costing metrics to evaluate profitability and asset utilization

• Overseeing new project feasibility analysis to strategize on optimizing new land deals to ensure they meet investment criteria

• Recommending process, policy, and procedural improvements across operational areas based on your analyses

• Providing ad hoc analysis and occasional studies as requested by management

• Utilizing Excel for financial analysis and reporting

• Employing skills in budget processes, long-range financial planning, and internal financial reporting to ensure smooth operations and accurate forecasts.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or relevant role, with at least 5 years in finance

• Expertise in financial analysis and forecasting.

• Proficiency in budget processes and long-range financial planning.

• Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas and their application in financial analysis.

• Proficiency in internal financial reporting with the ability to present complex financial information to both corporate and field personnel.

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required; Master's degree or relevant certification is preferred.
