Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Fredericksburg, Virginia
Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Fredericksburg, Virginia, United States. This role is in the telecom industry, where you will be responsible for managing full cycle accounts payable, processing and reviewing invoices, and conducting reconciliations among other duties. The position requires proficiency in various accounting software systems and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with the full cycle accounts payable.
• Process and review invoices for accuracy.
• Aid in the billing cycle.
• Perform reconciliations for the general ledger and business transactions.
• Conduct weekly check runs.
• Post payments and maintain cash applications.
• Manage petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements.
• Monitor all vendor payment agreements to resolve discrepancies and past due accounts.
• Utilize Microsoft Suite, Microsoft Excel, and Accounting systems. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ability to perform Data Entry tasks accurately and efficiently
• Experience with Reconciliations in an accounting context
• Knowledge of General Ledger operations
• Experience in Invoice Processing
• Familiarity with Billing procedures and standards
