Description
We are in search of a diligent and meticulous Accounting Assistant to be a part of our team in the Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Responsibilities:
• Manage debit cards for day programs in residential homes, ensuring accurate and timely funding.
• Handle requests related to debit card usage and transactions, providing prompt and accurate responses.
• Enter and record transactions into accounting software systems such as QuickBooks, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Allocate expenses correctly and efficiently, maintaining financial clarity and consistency.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites for data management and reporting.
• Perform various accounting functions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all financial data is up to date.
• Execute billing functions, preparing and sending out invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitor cash activity and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available for operations.
• Perform data entry tasks, maintaining the accuracy and completeness of all data records.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
• Understanding of basic Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Billing Functions
• Ability to handle Cash Activity
• Strong Data Entry skills
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Willingness to continuously improve and learn new skills.
