Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Fremont, California
Description Robert Half is looking for an organized, efficient individual to take on the role of Payroll Clerk at a reputable Non-Profit company. In this role, you will be expected to support the Payroll department in a variety of duties, including data entry, reconciliation of timecards, paycheck distribution and providing statements to various departments. Be able to communicate effectively with both the internal team and outside customers. How you will make an impact
Carry out other duties as assigned
Collect and enter data into spreadsheets and the payroll system
Maintain employee confidence by delivering instruction and training to employees regarding the function of payroll-related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements, etc.
Produce and run custom reports
Contact employees via email and phone to obtain timesheet approvals
Perform clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
Retrieve reports as instructed by administering and/or distributing Requirements - Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Previous payroll experience
Eagerness to master new systems
Knowledgeable in Payroll software
Excellent data entry skills
Deep understanding of Nonprofit Organizations
Kronos experience preferred
bi-Monthly Payroll experience
