Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant with one of our clients in Fremont, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting general ledger and month-end close processes, conducting financial audits, and consolidating financial statements for multiple entities in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Responsibilities:

• Manage the general ledger and month-end close processes efficiently and effectively

• Conduct financial audits to ensure compliance with GAAP

• Consolidate financial statements for multiple entities to provide a comprehensive view of financial status

• Perform account reconciliation, create journal entries, and review financial variance reporting to ensure accurate financial records

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate payment processing

• Oversee fixed-asset (capital) accounting and maintain accurate records

• Analyze healthcare statistics for supplies expense analysis and make recommendations for cost savings

• Collaborate with team members and provide assistance as needed to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in General Ledger management

• Proven experience with Month End Close procedures

• Ability to prepare and manage Journal Entries

• Proficient in performing Reconciliations

• Experience in managing Fixed Assets

• Skilled in Financial Reporting

• Experience in Audit procedures

• Knowledge of Consolidations in a healthcare or social assistance setting

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines
