Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Fremont, Nebraska
Description We are in search of an Accounts Receivable Clerk to contribute to our accounting team in Fremont, Nebraska. The role involves ensuring accurate processing and recording of company’s accounts receivable, verifying and resolving discrepancies, as well as handling customer billing issues. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage daily financial transactions related to accounts receivable, including verification, classification, and recording of data.
• Ensure accurate processing of customer credit applications and maintain up-to-date customer credit records.
• Facilitate invoice payments by sending reminders and liaising with clients.
• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to guarantee all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.
• Generate weekly aging reports to track and resolve outstanding customer payment issues.
• Prepare and process bills, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Handle customer service related to accounts receivable, attending to customer inquiries and issues.
• Employ financial software to carry out tasks efficiently.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint for data entry, scheduling appointments, email correspondence, and inbound/outbound calls.
• Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures while performing day to day operations. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
• Experience in answering inbound and outbound calls
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to perform data entry tasks quickly and accurately
• Familiarity with email correspondence and ability to draft professional emails
• Ability to schedule appointments efficiently
• Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable role is desirable
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technology
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
