Robert Half Medical Billing Specialist in French Camp, California
Description We are seeking a Medical Billing Specialist to become a permanent member of our team in the Healthcare/NHS industry. Based in French Camp, California, this role offers a permanent employment opportunity. As a Medical Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing intricate billing procedures, maintaining precise patient data, and delivering customer service in a detail-oriented manner.
Responsibilities:
• Process patient credit applications accurately and maintain records.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve them promptly.
• Utilize comprehensive knowledge of technical program requirements for efficient accounts payable/receivable functions.
• Conduct thorough interviews with patients to understand their needs and align them with suitable program services.
• Research, compile, and process statistical, financial, and other numerical data to support office functions.
• Carry out clerical/technical/financial case management, applying comprehensive knowledge of administrative, legal, financial, and program-related requirements.
• Prepare intricate documents such as court orders, petitions, subpoenas, insurance claims, and treatment authorization forms.
• Ensure effective use of specialized software such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, and Epaces.
• Manage tasks related to Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Benefit Functions, Billing Functions, and Claim Administration.
• Monitor patient accounts and take appropriate action when necessary. Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Billing Specialist in the Healthcare/NHS industry
• Proficiency in using Allscripts
• Practical experience with Cerner Technologies
• Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE)
• Knowledge of EHR SYSTEM
• Proficiency in using Epaces
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in handling Appeals
• Understanding of Benefit Functions
• Experience in Billing Functions
• Expertise in Claim Administration
