We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in French Camp, California. The role is in the Healthcare/NHS industry, where you will be responsible for processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with patients, clients, and outside agencies to provide specialized and complex information related to our department operations

• Process and maintain specialized and complex information related to departmental operations

• Research, compile, maintain, and process statistical, financial, and other numerical data to support specialized office functions

• Perform clerical/technical/financial case management, applying advanced knowledge of administrative, legal, financial, and program-related requirements

• Prepare a variety of complex reports and documents requiring advanced knowledge of specialized subject matter

• Use various software tools including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE), EHR SYSTEM, and Epaces

• Handle complex accounts payable/receivable and billing procedures, applying advanced knowledge of technical program requirements

• Maintain ledgers and accounts, enter data into worksheets, match invoices with orders, review and verify for completeness, accuracy, and appropriateness as assigned

• Compute, collect and receipt monies and fees, adjust accounts within limits of authority

• Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases, maintain data and develop reports for budget purposes

Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in medical billing or a closely related field within the healthcare industry

• Proficiency in using various medical billing software including Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, and EHR SYSTEM

• Familiarity with Dynamic Data Exchange (DDE) and Epaces is required

• Experience in accounts receivable (AR) and claim administration is essential

• Must demonstrate the ability to carry out billing functions effectively

• Knowledge and understanding of benefit functions and appeals procedures in a healthcare setting

• Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills

• Attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision is crucial

• Should be capable of maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to the privacy policies of the healthcare institution

• Should be able to adapt to changes in billing standards and stay updated with the latest industry trends

• Must possess a strong ethical code and demonstrate professionalism in all tasks

• Should have strong problem-solving skills and be able to work well under pressure.
