Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is on the lookout for an experienced Accounting Clerk to join our team based in Fresno, California. This role focuses on managing daily Accounts Receivable postings, bank deposits, and reconciliation of cash control. The role also requires an individual to handle Accounts Payable, track vendor Certificates of Insurance, and assist in Payroll bi-weekly.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily postings of Accounts Receivable

• Prepare and execute Accounts Receivable deposit

• Reconcile daily bank transactions and cash control sheet

• Make Accounts Receivable collection calls and emails

• Process new customer credit applications and credit references

• Support for Accounts Payable by reconciling AP freight spreadsheet and keying non-freight vouchers

• Track vendor Certificates of Insurance and prepare customer statements

• Manage the tracking of emailed and EDI invoices

• Enter PO receipts and gather receivers from remote plants

• Close open POs after AP vouching

• Assist in Payroll bi-weekly operations.

Requirements

• Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar

• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required

• Must have experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Data entry skills are essential

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask

• Knowledge of general accounting procedures is essential

• Familiarity with financial regulations

• Ability to handle confidential information.
