Description

Tyler Houk (Practice Director) is seeking an Accounting Clerk based in Fresno, California, to provide operational support in a variety of standard and project-based accounting tasks. The role involves contributing to the organization's financial goals through efficient handling of accounts payable and receivable, general ledger maintenance, credit card reconciliation, financial reporting, and process improvement within the accounting function.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, manage vendor and client payments, and reconcile accounts for accounts payable and receivable

• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records including journal entries and account reconciliations

• Review, process and report on credit card transactions ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements, including balance sheets and income statements

• Perform timely processing of inventory journal entries and reconciliations

• Provide support during fiscal year-end compilations including gathering necessary documentation and responding to inquiries

• Assist in monitoring departmental budgets and preparing budget variance analyses

• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function

• Support the finance team with various ad hoc projects and tasks, as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar position.

• Proficiency in account reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records.

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to manage company's financial transactions.

• Proficient in data entry to ensure accurate and efficient recording of financial information.

• Experience in invoice processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting.

• Experience with QuickBooks for managing and tracking company's accounts and finances.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all work.

• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
