Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Fresno, California
Description Accounts Receivable (A/R) professionals will find a great opportunity in this growing Agriculture company's dynamic team. In this role, it will be critical for you to enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging reports, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, and update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. The Accounts Receivable Clerk role is a permanent position in the Fresno, California area.
Responsibilities
Carry out general accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures
Carry out, convey, and strengthen the mission, values and culture of the company
Process payments and compiling segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
Answer questions from shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stake holders
Post and balance financial data in various ledgers to reconcile bank accounts
Verify documents and codes
Correspond with clients to resolve payment issues and set up payment plans Requirements
Relevant experience in accounts receivable
Account reconciliation experience required
Foundational knowledge in Aging Reports
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired
Bank Deposit experience
Great attention to detail
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
