Robert Half AR Specialist in Fresno, California

Description We are in the market for an AR Specialist to join our team in the machinery manufacturing industry, based in Fresno, California. As an AR Specialist, you will be tasked with the responsibility of managing collections, processing credit card payments, and maintaining accurate customer credit records. This role offers an opportunity for the right candidate to be part of a dynamic team dealing with customers and handling accounts receivable duties.

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and handle urgent emails regarding collections.

• Monitor and manage past due balances on aging reports.

• Reconcile accounts with past due balances.

• Prepare Statement of Account attachments for past due letters.

• Draft collection letters with SOA and invoice attachments for all past due accounts.

• Monitor credit card payments and process them through appropriate applications.

• Follow up with internal departments on customer discrepancies, pricing issues, and quantity deliveries.

• Notify customers of missing checks or payments.

• Process remittances using Excel spreadsheets, verifying amounts against customer remittances and open aging.

• Document account notes accordingly and submit payments for posting.

• Maintain and monitor dispute lists, following up on statuses from internal departments.

• Send missing invoices to customers upon request and automate sending of invoices not received based on weekly aging.

• Maintain and upload invoices for specific accounts and verify invoice status.

• Run all credit card transactions and advise on payments and applications.

• Send monthly Statements of Account to specific customers and review AR aging prior to month-end to ensure all adjustments and write-offs are processed. Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the Machinery Manufacturing industry

• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR) and Collections

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Familiarity with Credit Card Payments and related procedures

• Strong Data Entry skills with an emphasis on accuracy and speed

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
