Robert Half Bookkeeper in Fresno, California
Description We are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in the non-profit sector, based in Fresno, California. This role involves a variety of financial and administrative duties, including accounting, financial management, and fiscal compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Manage all accounting duties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations
• Oversee financial management activities, including budgeting and forecasting
• Ensure compliance with all nonprofit fiscal requirements
• Audit and enter payment requests on a weekly basis
• Process payables, ACH payments, and print checks when necessary
• Prepare for and obtain signatures and approvals for financial transactions
• Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) to maintain financial records
• Perform bookkeeping duties, including data entry and month-end close procedures
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for financial tasks and reporting
• Manage payroll processes, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably within the non-profit sector
• Proficiency in utilizing accounting software, specifically QuickBooks
• Demonstrated experience with account reconciliation, accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in data entry and Microsoft Excel
• Experience in conducting bank reconciliations
• Familiarity with payroll processes and systems
• Ability to perform month-end close procedures
• Strong understanding of general bookkeeping principles and practices
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Must possess a keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
