We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistic Coordinator to join our client's team in Fresno, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the transportation logistics process from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This is a contract to hire/long term opportunity, Monday to Friday.

Daily job duties might include:

  • Dispatch drivers and/or the carriers’ office dispatch, including contacting and advising on pick-up/delivery locations, required temperature of trucks, suggested routes, and providing detailed instructions to ensure proper routing of drivers.

  • Take check calls from drivers and/or office dispatchers to confirm locations and miles to destination, ensuring timely delivery of loads. Monitor daily pickups and deliveries to ensure adherence to schedules.

  • Update account managers and carrier procurement representatives on any issues encountered and actions taken. Provide timely updates to customers on the status of their loads.

  • Schedule and/or reschedule pickup/delivery appointments as needed to accommodate changes in logistics.

  • Verify that loads have arrived on time and in good condition, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in logistics coordination or a similar role is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry best practices.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
