We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated ability in a deadline-driven environment while delivering strong internal customer service. The Tax Support Payroll Representative is responsible for the accurate and timely production of payroll for employees. Apply as soon as possible! Go over pay practices related to FLSA, fringe benefit reporting and other payroll areas and determine how those practices apply to advise management
Administer voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities
Evaluate data entered by others in the payroll software to include, but not limited to salary/wage increases, benefit deductions, employee termination dates, and employee leaves of absence under FMLA or other unpaid leave
Direct regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
Aim for timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles
Cooperate with Human Resources, Information Technology, and other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systems
Lend a hand to staff with pay related issues, general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, wage deductions, and fringe benefits
Accommodate current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and state income and social security taxes and other required reporting
Formulate systems and protocols to direct the collection, calculation and entering of pay data
Regulate quarterly and year-end payroll reports
Requirements - Garnishments payroll experience
Comprehensive knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll
Experience with Payroll Tax Reporting
Multi-state payroll experience
In-house payroll experience
Quality experience with Microsoft Word
Proven knowledge of Payroll Taxes
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Well-founded grasp of Superior Customer Service
3+ years of payroll experience
CPP or FPC preferable
Qualified in HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
Background in garnishments, various withholdings, and processing liens
