Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our team in Friendswood, Texas. This role is essential to our operations, and will involve various tasks such as maintaining customer records, preparing financial reports and supporting internal audits. You will also be required to assist with special projects and tasks as they arise.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct monthly closing procedures and generate financial packages.

• Handle intercompany reconciliations for different ledgers.

• Prepare and reconcile monthly ledger and bank statements.

• Manage Travel and Entertainment / Expense card reconciliations.

• Conduct deviation analysis for monthly finance packages.

• Maintain and execute effective Internal Control Systems (ICS) in your area of responsibility.

• Provide support during internal and statutory audits.

• Aid in the budgeting process.

• Assist with regulatory compliance reporting requirements.

• Act as a backup for the local CFA function when necessary.

• Contribute to special projects and additional tasks as requested. Requirements • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Proven experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant or relevant field is required

• Proficiency in accounting software is essential

• Strong understanding of Cost - Standard, Month End Close, and Account Reconciliation is mandatory

• Excellent numerical skills along with the ability to analyze, compare, and interpret facts and figures quickly

• High level of accuracy, efficiency, and accountability

• Strong command of regulatory and financial reporting standards

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

• Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines

• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
