Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Description Robert Half seeks an eager, strong Accounting Manager for an immediate opening at a growing, dynamic Hospitality company. As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for leading daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. An integral part of this position is establishing and scaling company accounting and finance operations. Responsibilities
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Possessing a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Organize a variety of technical accounting analyses, procedures, and policies
Lead and supervise the accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure close deadlines are met
Play a key role in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration Requirements - CPA or MBA preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Solid technical skills
Monthly Financial Statements experience
Wide ranging experience with Accounts Receivable (AR)
General familiarity with Fixed Asset Accounting
Practical knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries
Strong familiarity with Monthly Financial Reports
Proven knowledge of internal control review
Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired
Quality experience with Audit Requests
Comprehensive knowledge of month end closings
Well-founded grasp of SOX
Earlier work involving general ledger
Monthly Account Reconciliation experience required
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
