Robert Half Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager in Ft Lauderdale, Florida

Description We are currently recruiting, on behalf of our client, for a confidential position.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Credit Manager Department:

Responsibilities:

Manage accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately, with a focus on the construction industry's nuances, including release of liens and lien laws.

Follow proper notice to owner procedures

Handle collection and posting of payments for branches, utilizing bilingual skills in English and Spanish.

Reconcile accounts and monitor customer payment statuses, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Maintain customer files and follow procedures for processing receipts, with a keen eye on detail.

Prepare bank deposits and investigate/resolve customer queries with proficiency in both languages.

Communicate with customers via phone, email, or in person, demonstrating fluency in both English and Spanish.

Compile monthly statements and monitor overdue accounts, adhering to strict deadlines.

Compile monthly Lien date list, and follow through collecting or liening jobs, navigating the complexities of the construction industry.

Process credit references and handle lien-related tasks, understanding the unique requirements of construction projects.

Conduct end-of-month tasks including aging reports and past due collections, meeting the demands of a fast-paced environment.

Assist A/R Assistant with credit application research and review, utilizing bilingual skills for effective communication.

Participate in quarterly credit meetings with the owner, providing valuable insights into bilingual and construction industry-specific issues.

Qualifications:

5-10 years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience in the construction industry.

Proficiency in both English and Spanish languages, both spoken and written.

Proficiency in 10-key by touch and Microsoft Office, with a strong attention to detail.

Excellent communication and organizational skills, crucial in a busy role.

Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
