Robert Half Director of Marketing in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Description •Develops and recommends marketing objectives, strategies, budgets and plans designed to achieve approved growth, revenue, and profit targets, including detailed marketing plans featuring advertising, promotion, product mix, pricing, expenditure, activities, etc. Provide input to strategic planning process, periodic review, and update of strategic plans.

•Direct and control execution of the approved marketing plan and calendar. Report on sales/marketing performance against budget and forecast. Oversee and report on Advertise Marketing and Promotion (AMP) expenditure. Develop and oversee implementation of approved corrective action activities.

•Direct and approve all advertising and sales promotion activities and material. Monitor and evaluate Agency(s) performance, and recommend changes as appropriate.

•Support and actively participate in the monthly Regional Marketing Meetings with KFC franchisees to provide business updates, best practices, and planning details for promotional calendars.

•Interact with all departments and franchise organizations to develop consumer insight driven business solutions, including test markets for major new product ideas. Direct and approve all market research projects, and maintain an overall research program that encompasses advertising research, market potential, consumer attitudes, competitor information, etc. Develop POP and TV to support marketing calendars.

•Consult and liaise with field operations (and other Functions) to enable effective execution and maximization of marketing/sales programs. Oversee marketing support for field activities designed to achieve sales and profit objectives. Ensure that all marketing activities comply with local legislative requirements (trademark protection, trade practices, etc)

•Support cross functional teams working on new concepts, concept layers, day parts and major new product development including timeline and budget management. Provide specific recommendations on new products, line extensions, packaging changes, etc. Adopt best practices from within the region and around the world in order to grow the business.

•Lead, motivate, and oversee development of direct reports in order to achieve goals and to provide options for succession, progression, and growth. Ensure that all personnel fully understand their accountabilities, and have the authority and expertise to achieve them.
