Robert Half Staff Accountant in Ft Myers, Florida
Description
If you're interested in becoming a critical part of an innovative company, Robert Half has an opportunity for a full-time Staff Accountant. This position will challenge your skills as your juggle multiple components. You will succeed in this Staff Accountant position if you can prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. If you can perform internal reporting during the monthly close, participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, you might be a good fit for this role. Located in the Ft Myers, Florida area, this position is a challenging, multi-faceted opportunity to work for a company that recognizes and rewards hard work. We're looking for people who are detail-oriented and analytical thinkers with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
What you get to do every day
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
