Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Fullerton, California
Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Fullerton, California. In this role, you'll play a vital part in managing and maintaining our accounts receivable processes, ensuring precise invoicing, prompt collection of payments, and fostering positive relationships with clients.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Keep track of customer accounts for delayed payments and follow up on outstanding balances
• Post and reconcile customer payments in our accounting system, guaranteeing precision
• Professionally and promptly address and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
• Maintain and update detailed records of invoices, payments, and collections in our financial database
• Collaborate with our sales and customer service teams to resolve any account-related issues
• Generate and analyze accounts receivable aging reports, providing updates to management
• Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciling AR accounts and preparing necessary reports
• Ensure compliance with our policies and procedures as well as applicable regulations
• Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations regarding AR transactions. Requirements • Proficient in account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records
• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR) management and practices
• Experience in billing processes, ensuring the accuracy of invoices and payments
• Proficiency in cash applications, understanding how to apply payments to customer accounts
• Experience in cash collections, ensuring timely payment of invoices
• Familiarity with commercial collections, managing overdue payments from commercial clients
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, using it for data analysis and financial reporting
• Experience with QuickBooks, using it for financial management and accounting tasks
• Capable of entering invoices accurately and efficiently
• Experience with high-volume invoicing, managing a large number of invoices at once
• Understanding of invoice creation and management
• Proficiency in invoice processing, ensuring invoices are paid on time and recorded accurately
• Ability to post invoices, ensuring they are recorded in the correct accounts
• Strong data entry skills, ensuring accurate and efficient input of financial information
