Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist based in FULTON, Maryland. The role primarily involves handling all payroll related functions in a dynamic workplace setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of new hires into the payroll system.

• Update existing employee records in the payroll system as necessary.

• Handle payroll entries received from employees and divisions.

• Respond to telephone and email inquiries from employees regarding payroll matters.

• Review payroll reports to ensure accurate payroll processing and reporting of information.

• Coordinate tax updates, including amendments with relevant parties.

• Conduct research to address questions or concerns with various taxing authorities.

• Complete and return Verification of Employment documentation to the requestor.

• Oversee internal payroll and accounting audits on a semi-annual basis.

• Use skills in ADP Workforce Now, Auditing, Benefit Functions, Multistate Payroll, and Full Cycle Payroll to effectively perform duties. Requirements • Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now

• Prior experience in auditing

• Familiarity with benefit functions

• Ability to handle multistate payroll

• Experience in managing payroll for over 500 employees

• Proficiency in full cycle payroll

• Knowledge of payroll garnishments
