Robert Half Financial Analyst in GAINESVILLE, Georgia
Description Robert Half is seeking a talented Financial Analyst to fill a position at a flourishing company. You will manage financial modeling on a range of financial products as well as measure, analyze, and forecast performance in conjunction with operating plans in this position. You will also be responsible for advising management on the allocation of resources to best complete objectives and preparing reports for management. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team serving as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / temporary to hire employment opportunity in the Gainesville, Georgia, area. We seek a candidate with a strong work ethic and a demonstrated competency in financial analysis.
Key responsibilities
Create effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and recommendation support
Ideal candidate would have an adaptable nature and experience dealing with vast amounts of information while exceeding expectations
Function next to senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial close process by working with Accounting
Perform extensive research on the underlying internal and external drivers that are affecting performance and trending
Lead monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Support contacts in Accounting and Operations to execute business plans
Assess potential risks and opportunities and research performance
Produce and manage forecasting reports
Support weekly, quarterly and annual Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Monitor monthly and quarterly performance by comparison of actuals versus expectations and enable business partners to handle their resources effectively Requirements - Experience with financial data management processes & systems, e.g. Oracle/Hyperion/SAP Business Objects/SFDC/Tableau- Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting
Analyze Trends experience
Analyze Revenues experience
Adeptness in Subledger Accounting
General familiarity with Prepare Financial Reports
Experience with SAP
Practical knowledge of Consolidated Financial Statements
Pivot Table experience highly preferred
Foundational knowledge in Analyze Financial Statements
Proficiency in Analyze Variance
Background working with VLOOKUP
Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired
Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience a plus)
