In this role, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. This position is ideal for someone with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.
What you get to do every single day:
In-depth experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Organize and review a variety of financial data, reporting it in a way that is useful and understandable
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Arrange schedules for capital lease and monthly payments
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision
Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics required
2+ years recent and relevant accounting experience
Microsoft Excel experience highly preferred
Practical knowledge of NetSuite
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Excellent analytical, quantitative and social skills
Fully formed organizational, written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
