Robert Half Administrative Assistant in Gardena, California

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Administrative Assistant in the Non-Profit industry, based in Gardena, California. As part of our team, the Administrative Assistant will handle a variety of administrative tasks, manage customer inquiries, and ensure the accuracy of our customer records.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify accreditation requirements and procedures for all state appraisal and real estate agencies.

  • Record continuing education (CE) credits for members and non-members who attend our educational and training offerings approved for state CEs.

  • Process various government accreditation applications and generate internal check requests. Ensure that payments are issued promptly.

  • Regularly update chapters regarding their CE requests to keep them informed of their approval status.

  • Create and distribute approved course certificates and rosters according to state approvals.

  • Maintain and renew all courses before expiry and keep a record of this process.

  • Report course completion to approved government agencies post completion of each course as required by agency-approved reporting processes.

  • Update our database (netFORUM) when courses are approved or denied by government agencies.

  • Process course registrations for members, non-members, and scholarship recipients in a timely manner.

  • Process and file registration forms and payments, ensuring all supporting documentation is complete.

  • Handle course cancellations, transfers, and substitutions as required.

    Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a related role within the non-profit sector

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

• Experience handling both inbound and outbound calls

• Demonstrated customer service skills and experience

• Ability to efficiently manage data entry tasks

• Excellent written communication skills, specifically for email correspondence

• Experience with scheduling appointments and managing calendars

• Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to other team members as needed

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• High level of discretion and judgement in handling confidential information.
