HR Operations Specialist

Position Summary:

The HR Operations Specialist will undertake a wide array of HR-related tasks to ensure organizational efficiency, compliance, and effectiveness. Responsibilities include providing backup support for payroll, managing employee/HR compliance reporting, processing invoices, and other assigned duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Compile and prepare HR metrics and reports, including monthly labor reports and federal/state reporting.

  • Process purchase orders for vendor invoices, such as those from temporary staffing agencies and benefit billing.

  • Administer leave of absence to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (EEO, ADA, FMLA/CFRA/PFL, etc.).

  • Conduct audits of the full employment cycle to maintain compliance with Company policies and regulations.

  • Keep human resources forms updated and compliant with state and federal regulations.

  • Assist in planning and executing company engagement activities and HR-related events.

  • Serve as backup for accurate payroll preparation, documentation, and distribution.

  • Support HR processes and contribute to streamlining and improving HR activities through technology.

  • Work closely with HR team members to ensure consistency across locations.

  • Support other assigned tasks and projects.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll processing.

  • Basic accounting principles and payroll practices knowledge; strong numerical aptitude.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and advanced in Excel.

  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; bilingual English-Spanish a plus.

  • Maintains confidentiality and adheres to professional conduct standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of payroll processing experience.

  • Preferred 3-5 years of HR experience.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A) in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field from an accredited college/university.

  • Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

The role involves mostly sitting and occasional walking, with some lifting up to 25 pounds. Visual acuity is required for close and distance vision.

Work Environment:

The work environment is typically low in noise level.
