Description
Robert Half is seeking a dynamic Pricing Analyst to join our client's team in Gardena. As a key member of our Pricing team, you will play a critical role in supporting Account Managers as the primary internal customer and contribute to the strategic pricing for major proposal bids. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategic Pricing: Develop pricing strategies for major proposal bids using internally developed costs and market data.
Data Analysis: Analyze data to resolve moderately complex cost and pricing questions, ensuring accuracy and alignment with current market conditions while achieving margin targets.
Cost Review: Review component specifications, technical drawings, and bills of material to calculate current costs. Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of cost data.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal support functions, including Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
Customer Interaction: Coordinate with Engineering to review customer drawings, ensuring that component characteristics and technical requirements conform to our product designs. Review and process customer Requests for Quote.
Metrics and Reporting: Update and present daily quote metrics to sales team management, maintaining required performance metrics to ensure compliance with business objectives and AS9100 standards.
Quality Assurance: Perform peer-to-peer quality review of pricing development and quote creation. Document all quality escapes found.
Process Adherence: Follow all departmental procedures, company policies, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications with a high degree of fidelity and accuracy.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend improvement actions by analyzing and interpreting data, along with input from team members and internal process partners.
Autonomous Work: Work with limited supervision, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and responsibility.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business, engineering, mathematics, or related field.
(Note: A minimum of 7 years of experience pricing and quoting in a manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of the education requirement.)
Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in pricing and quoting within a manufacturing environment. Must have knowledge, experience, and competence in the concepts and standard practices of pricing, quoting, and related costing, particularly in a high mix/high volume manufacturing environment.
