Systems Administrator
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Garyville, Louisiana. This role will primarily involve managing Windows Servers and Active Directory in our IT department. The incumbent will be working with an array of cutting-edge technologies to ensure the seamless operation of our systems.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage the Windows Servers and Active Directory to ensure system functionality and security.
• Oversee the Domain Controller and the PI Process Historian Database to maintain the integrity and performance of our IT infrastructure.
• Utilize technologies such as AB Testing, Cluster Analysis, and System Patching to optimize system performance and reliability.
• Manage Group Policy settings and permissions to regulate system access and ensure data security.
• Implement patch management strategies and conduct regular system patching to keep all systems up-to-date and secure.
• Leverage knowledge of Honeywell Experion and other Dell Technologies to support the operation of our IT systems.
• Handle system backups using Backup Technologies and ensure the availability of up-to-date backup copies.
• Resolve system issues promptly and efficiently using problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
• Monitor and manage firewall technologies to safeguard our IT infrastructure from potential threats.
• Maintain the computer hardware infrastructure to ensure its optimal performance and longevity.

• Proficient in Cisco Technologies
• Demonstrated experience with Cloud Technologies
• Expertise in Dell Technologies
• Familiarity with Firewall Technologies
• Experience in AB Testing
• Proficiency in Active Directory
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies
• Skills in Cluster Analysis
• Deep understanding of Computer Hardware
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server
• Proficiency in Patch Management and System Patching
• Experience in Time-Series Database Applications
• Knowledge of Honeywell and Experion technologies
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Relevant certifications in system administration would be advantageous.
